The project includes roadway improvements, trail connections, and residential development in an area located about 2.1 miles from Luke Air Force Base within the military airport influence zone. Luke AFB has indicated the rezoning will not negatively impact flight operations at the current proposed density of 6 du/ac, though future residents will be subject to approximately 170 daily overflights.
